Are you an active duty service member, family member, or veteran of the U.S. Military?
Military service members and veterans must indicate their status and provide documentation prior to enrollment. Military applicants must send a copy of their ID card or other identifying document and veterans must send a copy of their DD214 if they will be utilizing VA programs.
1. Complete, sign and submit this Application for Admission and the application fee. Request official transcripts from prior colleges and/or universities (a credential evaluation is required for transcripts from outside the United States). Request military service training documentation (DD-214 or 5454R) and high school transcript or GED documentation, if applicable.
2. The university will evaluate your Application and transcripts and, if necessary, contact you to discuss transfer credits, required courses and degree objectives.
3. Once the evaluation is complete, you will be advised of your admission status and your program of study.
4. Your letter of acceptance into the program will be accompanied by your personalized degree plan and enrollment agreement, which detail the university’s recommendations of courses required for the degree, as well as your financial obligations.
5. Your academic advisor will then contact you and personally assist you through the program and toward your degree.
I understand that the university will evaluate my transcripts to determine the courses and units required to earn my degree. Enclosed is the information on my prior college level courses and the application fee. The university will advise me of the courses needed, my degree plan, and my total tuition costs.
I have received a copy of the university's catalog. I have read and fully understand the refund policy and other university academic, administrative and financial policies and procedures. I further understand that the academic program is delivered via an online format.
I understand that California Southern University (CalSouthern) must receive official transcripts of my high school or GED records or prior college-level coursework. The official transcripts must be received by the university in order to finalize my admission to the university. If I am unable to fully document any potential transfer credit, no such credit will be accepted and I will be required to complete additional courses, either at California Southern University or elsewhere, and I will be responsible for additional tuition.
I declare that the coursework I will present to the university will be entirely my own work and that I will fully acknowledge the source of work adapted from other sources. I understand that the university bases its course grading and awards degrees on this representation, and that if I have misrepresented my coursework, the university may revoke my course credit and degrees awarded to me on the basis of that material.
I understand that all fees and tuition must be paid in full prior to graduation, and that a degree cannot be awarded, nor transcripts released until all outstanding tuition and financial obligations have been cleared with the university’s accounting department.
I understand that the courses and programs offered by the university are not intended to qualify me for licensure or registration in any state, governmental jurisdiction, or licensing authority except in the following cases: The Board of Psychology of the State of California accepts California Southern University's Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree as meeting the educational requirements for licensure as a psychologist in California. Persons interested in licensure are advised to contact the Board of Psychology in Sacramento, California to determine what other requirements may exist for licensure. The Board of Behavioral Sciences in the State of California accepts California Southern University's Master of Arts in Psychology (MA) degree as meeting the educational requirements for licensure as a marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor in California. Persons interested in licensure in California or any other state are advised to contact the appropriate regulatory bodies in their state to obtain a complete listing of all requirements for licensure. The Committee of Bar Examiners (CBE) of the State Bar of California has authorized registration of the university’s School of Law, which enables our graduates to sit for the California Bar Examination.
I hereby make application for admission and certify that the information I have provided is true and accurate.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand the university application procedures, evaluations and understandings.
I acknowledge that I have received and read the University's Catalog
and Refund Policy. I agree to the terms and conditions therein.
Submitting this application electronically to the university operates as my electronic signature.
